Dear Saints,
The other day I was invited to teach on “The True Meaning of Easter” for a Church Outreach. Approximately 100 children and adults attended, and not all of them were regular church attenders! Praise God!
Please keep the people who heard this message in prayer, that God would water the gospel seeds planted.
I’m including here a synopsis of the teaching, the complete message on video, a “before” photo of the painting, and an “after” photo. Please feel free to click on the photos to enlarge them. I hope they are a blessing to you! And if you’re trained to teach with the sketch board, then I hope you’ll be able to use this message yourself!!!

Please note that I decided to make the words “God Kept His Promise” appear using the OAC “Wax Lettering” technique. I didn’t like the way it came out, so from now on I’ll do that using OAC’s “ladder lettering.” So I learned something there! 😉

Jesus Is Alive Today:
Description: Top-left: In order to understand WHY Jesus came to die, we go waaaay back to the beginning. Adam and Eve were given only one rule, yet they disobeyed, bringing Sin and Death into the world. We all inherit sin and death from Adam. God provided leather clothes for Adam and Eve, which required the death of an animal. Sin requires the shedding of blood. The animal that provided leather clothes didn’t do anything wrong, but it died in place of Adam and Eve, starting a precedent. This was a picture of what Jesus would one day do – the innocent one dying in place of the guilty. God also promised to destroy the work of Satan through the seed of the woman. This is a promise of what Jesus will do.
Top-right: God instituted the ritual sacrificing of an innocent lamb at the Temple. This is a picture, over and over again, of what the final lamb will one day do. A picture of Jesus.
Bottom-left: God was manifested in flesh and walked among us. His name is Jesus! Jesus never sinned. He was perfect. He is the only innocent one. But he died because he’s the “Lamb of God,” taking on himself the sin of the world.
Bottom-right: On the third day, the tomb was EMPTY! Jesus Rose From the Dead!!!
Middle: Jesus was seen by over 5,000 people over the course of 40+ days. His resurrection is a fact of history. It happened. And it is proof that God Kept His Promise. If we repent and believe, or “Turn” and “Trust” then our sin is put on the Son of God, and we get forgiven and adopted as a child of God. That’s great news!!!
