Saints,
According to Ephesians 4:11-12, Evangelists are commissioned “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” I love to do just that!
Recently I’ve had a couple of great opportunities to help Christians “get their feet wet” in sharing Christ with strangers.
-
The first one was last week when I lead an outreach at Hampton Beach, in the seacoast of New Hampshire. A group of guys from a local church have been studying evangelism for quite some time now, but needed help getting started. So they came to the beach with me, myself and another OAC missionary preached a few open-air messages, and there were no shortage of people willing to chat and have one-on-one conversations afterwards.
If anyone would like to come out with me to an outreach like this, please contact me. I’d love to help out any way I can!!!

The second opportunity was an “Evangelism Crash Course” I was invited to teach at a local church this past Saturday.
It works like this… I come in and do some teaching that I promise won’t put anyone to sleep. (Well, maybe I can’t keep that promise 100%!). I show some videos, give real-world tips, answer questions, and then we have lunch and pray. After lunch we go out in the community and interact with strangers in order to share Christ with them.
It sounds terrifying, but everyone in the group really loved it and appreciated it. It was a great group too! We ended up going to an Old Home’s Day event in town where tons of people were hanging around. It was a superb place to walk around and in a friendly manner hand out gospel tracts and share our faith. God gave us a superb day!
I love teaching the “Evangelism Crash Course,” and if you would like me to come to your church or Bible Study to do that, or have questions, please let me know!!! I count it a privilege to be able to build up believers and equip the saints!!!
Here are photos from the events. The first four are from the Hampton Beach outreach, and the last one is from the Evangelism Crash Course outreach. Please click on them to enlarge and see a description.
Please pray for the gospel seeds planted, and that the Christians involved will continue to make evangelism a part of their lifestyle, and not just an occasional event.
All for Jesus,
Mark (and family)
