My family and I have 2 main goals that drive our ministry:

  1. To Biblically and lovingly share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost.
  2. To come alongside, encourage, and equip Christians to share their faith and see God work as they have never imagined.

As for our second goal, we believe Ephesians 4:12 says it best. Starting at verse 11:

  1. And [Jesus] gave the Apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,
  2. to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ

Evangelists are in the same category as Apostles, prophets, shepherds, and teachers. Verse 12 tells us the reason Jesus gave these people:

  • to equip the saints
  • to build up the body of Christ
As part of a 5-week evangelism class I taught, I took the class to Hampton Beach in New Hampshire, and here you can see members of the church engaging strangers with the gospel. A number of them said they were so scared at first but so thrilled to be used by God as the evening went on.

I love sharing my faith with the lost, going where they are to reach them with the gospel message, but God did not call evangelists to go out all on our own. My purpose is to equip other Christians and build them up so we all can do the work of the ministry. And I love doing just that!

If you subscribe to this blog, you will receive evangelistic tips and real “battle stories” to build up your faith and encourage you. If you visit the videos page, you’ll find plenty of videos that you can use and do on your own. Some are specifically for the purpose of training. If you visit the resources page, you’ll find lots of documents, sermons, essays, videos, and more that are all free and are there to equip and encourage you. If God can use me to reach the lost, He can use anybody!

Laurie, a wife, and mom of 4, learned OAC's famous "3 ropes illusion" and used it to share the gospel with hundreds of kids at her church's block party outreach. God doesn't need fancy professionals. God uses regular Christians like you and me to reach the lost.

I would count it a privilege to work with you and your local church to help in any way I can with your evangelism outreach programs. If your church has a heart to reach your community, but you would like some help, or training, or someone to come alongside and show you the ropes, then I’d love to do just that. Please contact me!

This of this scenario: your church that wants to reach a certain neighborhood for Christ, but doesn’t know how to get started, or what to do. I’d love to schedule a week to come and help. Perhaps on the weekend there would be fun, hands-on training for the church members. Then every day, Monday through Friday, we’d go to the neighborhood and invite kids out to a Bible club held right there in the midst of the neighborhood. You’ll be amazed as you see your own brothers and sisters in Christ step out in faith and lead a Bible song, or a memory-verse hangman game, or an “object lesson” illusion, or even the main message. For those who aren’t ready to be up front, we always need Christians to counsel the children afterwards. Or you can just pray. Either way, you are valuable to that outreach.

We do this every day of the week, and then on Friday invite the parents, or caretakers to come out for a BBQ, and the gospel message is shared again. Now your church has a whole neighborhood of people to follow-up with and minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to! I’d love to help out with this any way I can. Please contact me anytime.

I am committed to the local church, and want very much to work with you!
