I really enjoy it when I am invited to bring the message at a Church service. It’s a huge honor to teach God’s Word.
My friends at “Church Alive” in Portsmouth, NH, invited me to bring the Word to them, and I’m so glad they did.
Right now, in the United States, it’s a relatively easy time to be Christian. We really don’t currently experience much persecution. We’re certainly not at the point where it’s unsafe physically to name Jesus. (thought that is the case in other countries, and will be true in the United States in the future.)
Persecution is increasing, and it’s not crazy to think that physical persecution will be coming.
Until that happens, what does God’s Word say to us about how to live?
Jesus Himself did give us a clear answer on this, and it’s in Matthew 10:16: “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”
So what does it look like to live among wolves, as wise as a serpent, and as innocent as a dove?
We find a very clear answer to this question throughout the many years of the ministry of the Apostle Paul.
I hope that you will find encouragement and will be built up in your faith through this sermon entitled, Wolves, a Serpent, and a Dove.
