Hey everyone,
It’s been OVER THREE MONTHS since I’ve updated this website. Yikes!
I’m sorry about that.
I really am.
It’s not that we didn’t have anything to report, but rather that we had technical problems with our website.
I appreciate it so much that many people tell me that they are encouraged by the ministry updates. I know many people use them to pray specifically for what is happening.
We can’t be on the frontlines of evangelism without your prayers!
I’ve had a number of technical problems with the website. I’ve outlined them below.
But if you’re reading this, then it should be all fixed!
Here’s what happened (thankfully not as bad as the photo on the right suggests):
- This was a crazy-busy summer, with a number of ministry teams visiting Boston for training and hands-on street evangelism. It was exhausting, and wonderful. I love it, but in my flesh I’m glad the busy part is over because it can be a bit much. Very long days and long weeks with a lot of travel. It was physically, emotionally, and spiritually exhausting, not allowing for the time it takes to post detailed updates.
- My website was on a very old version of software, and hadn’t been updated in years. Not only was the software old, but the Linux Operating System it runs on was years out of date too. My site was susceptible to being hacked, so I had to go through the work of migrating it over to a new web server and update the software that runs my site. And update all the miscellaneous “plugin” software that I use too. That took what little administrative time I had away, as it’s a lot of work to move a website, update it, and make sure you keep all the history and old posts. I literally finished the final steps in this last night.
- I was using a free service called “Google Picasa” to post photos to my site. It was GREAT! I upload the photos to Google, add comments, and through some software, it shows up on my website in an easy to view fashion. Well, Google shut down this free service over the summer, and didn’t provide a replacement. Ugh! So I spent a lot of time looking at alternatives, some free, some paid. I finally found one that I hope will work.
- And just when I thought I was getting a handle on all these technical glitches, my dad passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago. I’ll write about my dad in a future blog post. And I appreciate the overwhelming support from all of you via cards, emails, prayers, and hugs.
I do hope to publish some blog updates on the tremendous way Jesus worked through the Church Teams this summer, through Beach evangelism, and through Camp ministry. Hopefully in the next few weeks.
We love you and thank Jesus for you!
Thank you so much for your prayers, financial support, and notes of encouragement, without which we would not be able to reach the Lost for Jesus Christ!
Please contact us anytime and let us know how we can pray for you!

Mark, I was missing your posts. Glad you are back up and running. I am very sorry to hear about your dad. Blessings to you and your family. Alan
Thank you, Alan. You’re very kind. God bless you!
Missed your updates this summer. Looking forward to praising God for all his work through you and your team(s) once the pics and stories get posted!
Thanks so much, Mark. I’ve missed posting the updates. God has done amazing things!
