Special Needs Ministry: Looking After The Physical and Spiritual Needs of the Least of These

Dear praying friends,

I have a new set of heroes: parents of children with special needs. So many parents give up so much to sacrifice time, money, and so many things I take for granted in order to take care of the amazing kids they have. This hit home BIG TIME for me when I was asked to minister at an event for families with children with disabilities.

The event was hosted by Joni and Friends, a Christian ministry that “is answering the call in the Gospel of Luke 14, ‘invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind and you will be blessed… make them come in so my house will be full.'”

I got to preach a couple different gospel messages with my paint board, and spent time with the kids by sharing the gospel message through a number of different “object lessons” or “illusions.”

It was a privilege to meet these amazing kids and amazing families and be a part of their lives for a day.

Please pray that the gospel seeds planted that day will take root, and that Jesus will be glorified as we look out for “the least of these.”
