Angela, grew up Jehovah’s Witness: While Eric was handing out gospel tracts, Angela approached him to ask him what type of church he attends. He told her a “Bible-believing church” and asked her spiritual background. Angela said she was a Jehovah’s Witness, and clarified that her parents are, but she’s not so sure. She said she wants to know. So in addition to chatting with her for quite some time, Eric gave her a church to go to that’s right near where she lives! This is a great church that has done evangelism kids clubs with us in the past. Angela said she’d go there and took some literature from us too! So encouraging!!! There’s a photo of her and Eric below.

Dan: While handing out gospel tracts, a young man confidently approached me and began asking me Bible questions. Something seemed “off” with him as he quizzed me. It turns out that he believes that you have to be baptized in water (in his church) to be saved. This is a heresy called “Baptismal Regeneration.” I asked if he was a member of the Boston Church of Christ (or “International Church of Christ” as they are sometimes called.) This is a dangerous cult that, among other things, teaches Baptismal Regeneration. Dan denied it, but in the conversation he affirmed all that the International Church of Christ teaches. I brought up Cornelius from Acts 10:44-47, a man who was saved without first being baptized. Dan had to affirm that it is possible to be filled with the Holy Spirit, but not be saved yet. Very strange. Please pray for Dan. Also, if you’d like more information on the International Church of Christ, or Baptismal Regeneration, then please feel free to download the free resources at: http://Luke-15.org/resources/#cults.

Christians Encouraged!: One bonus of subway ministry is being able to encourage followers of Jesus Christ! A sweet elderly lady named Lydia came up to me and told me she was so thankful to see me out sharing about Jesus. She even hugged me and prayed for me right on the spot! That’s so great!
Desiree and her Mom came over and were so excited to see people evangelizing. They told me about all God did in Desiree’s life to help her when she was a child and couldn’t walk.
Michael spoke with both Aaron and me and told us about how he helped start a church. He was glad to see a Christian witness in the subway. There’s a photo of him below.

Many Others: There were so many others. Lots of people listen to our open-air preaching. Lots ask us questions. Lots take gospel tracts. People from all walks of life: Muslims, Atheists, Students, you name it. And they all deserve prayer because they all matter to God. It’s a glorious thing to God when that which was lost becomes found!!! And that’s why we go out to where the people are!

Please pray for the people reached with the gospel!
Thank you for your prayers, notes of encouragement, and financial support. Without you giving, we couldn’t be on the field as ambassadors for Jesus Christ!!!
all for Jesus,
Mark
