A few weeks ago I started a conversation with a Chinese woman named Iris. But her English wasn’t very good and we had trouble communicating. So I pulled my phone out and loaded the “Google Translate” app out, and when I typed in English, the app translated into Chinese in real-time and we were able to communicate!!! How cool is that?
Iris recently moved to the U.S., and she wants to attend a Christian Church. She has been going to a solid Bible-believing church in Boston, but she says she can’t understand the sermons. So I recommended a Chinese-speaking church to her and she is very excited about that! I’m excited because I know that they teach the gospel there.
The image on the side is a text-messaging thread between me and Iris where you can see how the “Google Translate” allows me to write to her in Chinese as well as translate her Chinese into English. (Click on it to enlarge.)
Please keep Iris in your prayers, that she will be rooted in Christ, and that her English will improve (her prayer request.)
all for Jesus,
Mark 🙂
