Dear friends,
Just about everyone has heard the account of “David and Goliath.” In this sermon, I demonstrate that there were actually two kings of Israel on the battlefield that day, and the true hero isn’t David.
When we study the chapter BEFORE the account of David and Goliath, we’ll see that the hero of this story is The Holy Spirit.
Maybe you’ve heard that in the Biblical Account of David vs Goliath, David doesn’t represent us.
Actually, I believe David exactly represents us, and I’ll make that case. Well, we might be represented by King Saul, and we don’t want that.
So Christian, which King of Israel will you be, David or Saul?
And if you aren’t Born Again, then Goliath represents you. But there’s great news! God can move you out of Goliath’s camp and into the camp of God through faith in Christ. ❤️
This message has vital application for Christians today, as we are living in a world that is becoming much more hostile to the Gospel, and we will need to depend on and be filled by and lead by The Holy Spirit as David was.
I believe this is important because, sometimes, us Conservative Theologians can unintentionally diminish the importance of The Holy Spirit actively working through us.
I hope this is a blessing to you, and to those with whom you share it.
