A few months ago I got to teach an Adult Sunday School class on the meaning of Purim, and the Biblical account of Esther, Mordecai, and Haman.
Since Purim was this past weekend, I thought it was a good time to post the video of that teaching online.

Purim, Queen Esther, and How God Protects His People:
Description: It’s intriguing that the book of Esther is the only book in the Bible that never mentions the name of God, yet God’s presence and providence is EVERYWHERE in the events. God put it on the King’s heart to chose Esther to be his Queen, out of all the eligible ladies in the 127 provinces from India to Africa to Europe. It was God who arranged for Mordecai to overhear of the plot to assassinate the King, and God who arranged for this heroic defense of the king to be chronicled. It was God who saw to it that, though all bowed down to Haman, Mordecai bravely would not. It was God who arranged for Haman’s plans to be reversed. It was God who gave Esther the strength and courage to approach the King uninvited, a crime that meant death. It was God who gave favor to Esther in the eyes of the King, and prompted him to give Esther mercy, and believe her story. It was God who arranged for the King to have insomnia and have his chronicles read to him, and God who arranged for the passage to be about Mordecai saving the King’s life. It was God who stopped Haman, and it is God who is praised for defeating the wicked plans of Haman, Pharaoh, Herod, Pilate, Hitler, and finally Satan. The Book of Esther is a clear reminder that GOD IS IN CONTROL!!!
