Answering “Homosexuality is Found in Animals, So it’s Okay”

I received an email arguing that homosexual behavior is well documented in animals, therefore it’s normal.

This is a common statement meant to stump those of us who hold to God’s view on sexuality.

Here’s what you do: lovingly point out that cannibalism, abandonment, ruthless tearing one another apart, fighting to the death, eating feces, and many other atrocities have also been well documented in animals.

Then suggest that we shouldn’t glean our morality from animals.

Then ask them where they think morality comes from? And you’ll be in a gospel-centered conversation in no time! Stand up for Jesus and He’ll stand up for you!!!
