It’s been a little while since I’ve updated you all on what has been going on, so that’s what this post is all about. I want Jesus to be praised for what He has done recently, and also I’d like His people to pray for fruit to come from it.
Some highlights are:
An “Angel Tree” Event:
“Angel Tree” is a ministry where kids who have a parent in jail are invited to a Christmas program where they are given great food, Christmas presents, activities, and, most importantly, hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was invited to share the gospel message, and it was such a privilege to be a part of showing the love of Christ to these wonderful kids.

A Recovery Group
A local drug and alcohol recovery group invited my church to come and minister to them during their Christmas party. We came to sing Christmas songs, and I was able to preach the gospel message. There was a good number of adults there, and they all got invitations to our church. We stayed around to chat with them afterwards. It was a fun event and I’m certain the gospel of Jesus went out.

Preaching at Churches
I recently preached to a Junior Church, and that was very special. You can see the video of the teaching by clicking here.
I also preached a message at a few Churches out-of-state. The sermon for one of them can be seen by clicking here.
I also taught an Evangelism Class at a Sunday School, and shared my testimony at a Men’s evangelistic event where some unsaved men attended.
The Subway
The subways in Boston continue to be a very fruitful mission field. People seem much more open to take gospel literature when you say “Merry Christmas” and offer them a Christmas-themed gospel tract. We’ve had a few hecklers who were clearly drunk, but Proverbs 15:1 has been a great help. (“A soft answer turns away wrath” – Proverbs 15:1).
In fact, one drunk man who had said something rude to me when I offered him a gospel tract came back a few minutes later contrite. He apologized for what he said, asked me if he could have one of my tracts, and said, and I quote, “Maybe this will change my life.” I certainly hope so!
We also continue to reach people from around the world, especially Muslims.

So despite the cold weather around here, God supplies warm places to minister the gospel. It’s been pretty busy around here. Please pray for God to water the seeds planted, because unless God builds the house, I’m laboring in vain.
I thank God for you, for your notes of encouragement, your financial support, and friendship. My family and I can’t be on the field without you.
with love in Christ,
Mark (and Shelby, and Vivienne, Juliana, Caleb, and Gabriella)
Your messages are great and shows how God is directing you and leading you in sharing the Word of God. I pray for you and trust that a number of folk will trust Jesus Christ as personal Savior. May your family be blessed abundantly with a special Christmas celebration. It is good to know that more people will trust Jesus Christ as personal Savior at this Christmas time!
